Stephanie Weiler
Meet Stephanie, the owner of Hamont Yoga. Stephanie found her Yoga practice on Ottawa Street North, back in February 2015. Inspired by the way yoga made her feel, She enrolled in a 200-hour teacher training at Anjeli Teacher Training with Diana Lockett and Daniel Horgan. Stephanie’s continued education includes a 20 Hour Barre training with Morgan Cowie of Mosaic Yoga, a 20 Hour Meditation and a 50 Hour Asana & Anatomy training with In Fine Feather Yoga.
Stephanie teaches from the heart, offering an inclusive and supportive environment for all. She invites her students to listen to their inner guide, moving in ways that feel good in their body.
When not at the studio, you can find her walking her dog August drinking lots of black coffee, buying books at The City and The City Books, or having snacks over at Merk Snack bar. She loves the Ottawa Street North community.
our Instructors
Andrea King
Andrea King initially studied yoga with Angeli Yoga teacher training for her 200 hour certificate and in 2018 went to San Francisco for 6 weeks to study with international teacher, Jason Crandell to complete her 500hour advanced training. She studied mindfulness and the mindfulness based stress reduction program. She invites fun, creativity and focus to her Yoga flows. She will breakdown a pose to its basics and her flows are planned to build you up and educate you on your body and the practice of Yoga. She loves to teach and invites a positive and joyful approach to Yoga, usually with a killer playlist. Oh and yes, it was probably a joke so its okay to laugh in class.
Michelle Smith
Michelle found Yoga during her university years and quickly found herself continuing to return to her mat after noticing a sense of focus, steadiness and ease in her busy schedule. The four corners of her mat have remained the space where she can slow down and reconnect with herself.
Looking to strengthen her personal practice, Michelle enrolled in 200-hour teacher training at Anjeli Teacher Training Academy with Diana Lockett and Daniel Horgan in 2017. She quickly felt the call to share her passion for the healing properties of yoga and thoughtful movement with others. A life-long student, Michelle has continued her training with a 50-hour Asana & Anatomy Training with In Fine Feather Yoga, 25-hour Breath Coach training with the Whole Health Project and 100-Hr Meditation Teacher Training with Hoame.
Michelle’s teaching offers an alignment based and heart-centred class that encourages exploration of the body and spirit. She holds space for students to bring awareness and agency to their physical, emotional, and energetic bodies. Students can expect to leave class feeling a little bit lighter, and feeling a greater sense of connection.
Claire D'Alesio
Claire was drawn to yoga in 2008 as a means of stretching and relieving stress. She quickly discovered that there were many benefits of Yoga beyond just those. She experienced benefits to mind, body, soul and spirit.
In 2015 Claire felt called to deepen her practice and completed her teacher training with Karma Teachers Yoga and Meditation Centre in Vancouver. Following completion of the program, she dedicated time to deepen her personal practice to include meditation and breath work. Claire is both honoured and filled with immense gratitude to be guiding students through their Yoga practice.
Jasmine Seeley
Having practiced yoga intermittently since she was a preteen, Jasmine began to develop a more consistent practice following the birth of her son. Having had the opportunity to try many different styles of yoga all over the world, she found herself aligned well with the anchoring of breath to movement in Vinyasa Yoga.
After completing her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Hamilton’s own In Fine Feather (where she met one of her favourite yogis, Steph!), she graduated mid pandemic, in a world where Yoga is now shared in new and ever evolving ways.
Recognizing the importance of creating a space of peaceful intention within the chaos, Jasmine is excited to teach and learn alongside students every week.
